Cineworld Unlimited members have been scared into submission by our preview screening of The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. The film is the latest instalment in the blockbusting 'Conjuring Universe', spearheaded by James Wan, and the third Conjuring movie overall.
The movie charts a real-life court case that involved paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga). The trial broke new ground in that demonic possession was used as a case for the defence, setting in motion a fight between faith and fantasy, good and evil.
Non-Unlimited members: here are some reactions from the Unlimited crowd explaining why you need to watch the new Conjuring movie.
The story was very creepy and disturbing! Great unexpected jump scares, and some really terrifying moments! Really enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the wait! Just the best feeling seeing some genuine horror back on the big screen! #theconjuring #cineworldunlimited— Jay Venner (@jayvenner) May 25, 2021

Great flick...lots of jumps but over all a pretty good addition to the Conjuring universe. Also glad to be back in my fav place @cineworld— Billyboy (@Billybo81454562) May 25, 2021
As ever, some dissenting opinions are to be expected.
Alright. Loved Wilson and Vera as the Warren's and it had really good jump scares but found it a bit boring in parts. Also wanted it to focus more on the trial. 3/5 for me— Jake Pile (@DavidDunn69) May 25, 2021
Bought a few little fresh tricks to the formula (the use of Blondie’s “CALL ME” offset by neon red colour design was disorientating and cool), and appreciated the fact that it actually focussed on an investigation. However the set pieces were not as good as what has come before.— Cinephile Diaries (@cine_diaries) May 25, 2021
